ESTES PARK, Colo. — A reward has been offered after two black bears were killed in Estes Park this week, police said.
Both crimes happened in the area of Aspen Avenue, Ponderosa Drive and Morgan Street, the Estes Park Police Department said.
A photo showed crime scene tape around one of the bears.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife is investigating the poachings. Police said whoever shot the bears could face charges for illegally discharging a firearm in the town limits.
Authorities are offering a reward for information leading to the poachers. Anyone with information is asked to call 877-265-6648 or 970-577-3838.
