Police: Standoff over in Aurora, children safe

AURORA, Colo. -- A standoff with an armed man in Aurora has ended and police said the two children inside are safe.

Police said the suspect was taken into custody.

The SWAT team was called out to the scene near East 16th Avenue and Havana Street.

A 10-month-old and 3-year-old were in the home, according to police. A woman who lives in the home was outside talking with police.

Police say they were called to the home for a domestic disturbance at 10:40 a.m.
