FORT COLLINS, Colo. — A 21-year-old man was killed after being struck by a pickup truck in Fort Collins late Tuesday night, the Colorado State Patrol said.
The crash happened about 11:45 p.m. at Highway 14 and South Summit View Drive.
The Colorado State Patrol said a 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling eastbound on Highway 14 in the right lane and the pedestrian was running westbound when the collision happened.
The pedestrian was declared dead at the scene, the Colorado State Patrol said.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 35-year-old man from Evans, was not injured and remained at the scene.
The Colorado State Patrol said alcohol is a possible factor in the collision but did not say if it involved the driver or the pedestrian.
The identities of the pedestrian and driver were not released.
