ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – An 88-year-old woman was killed after being hit by a vehicle while in an Arapahoe County intersection, the Colorado State Patrol said Monday night.
The crash happened at South Dayton Street and Caley Avenue about 7:30 p.m.
Mary Boehm of Englewood was in a crosswalk in a dimly lit area walking against the light when a 2008 Honda CRV traveling southbound on Dayton Street struck her. The Honda had the green light, the Colorado State Patrol said.
Two people in the CRV, a 63-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman from Centennial, were not injured. They stayed at the scene and cooperated fully, the Colorado State Patrol said.
Southbound Dayton Street was closed at Caley Avenue as the crash was investigated.
