LONGMONT, Colo. — A second teenager died as a result of a stabbing this weekend at a party in Longmont. That was according to reports Monday night.

One teenager had already died at the scene early Sunday during a melee at a party in Longmont, the Longmont Police Department reported.

The deceased 19-year-old white male was one of three people stabbed in a fight in the 700 block of Francis Street, police said. A third teen was also stabbed and remained in the hospital Monday night.

About 20 people in their teens and early 20s were partying at the home, consuming alcohol and marijuana, when the brawl broke out in front of the building about 2:07 a.m., police said.

The stabbing suspect, 20-year-old Secundino Martinez of Frederick, was arrested at a Longmont Walmart after fleeing the scene, LPD said. He is being held on one count of 1st degree murder and two counts of attempted 1st degree murder.

Longmont police said Monday night they may have found a knife used in the attacks. Spokesman Jeff Satur says a woman called police to her home in the 700 block of Francis Street where officer found a knife in the back yard.

It will be tested to find out for sure if it was the knife used in the stabbings.
