DENVER -- A Frontier Airlines flight from Knoxville to Denver with 136 people on board had a potential security threat on board the jet Friday.

The FBI says Frontier Airlines released the following information late Friday night.

"Flight 601, operating from Knoxville to Denver had a potential security threat on board the aircraft," Frontier told the FBI. "The aircraft landed safely in Denver and was taken to a remote pad at the airport for screening. The FBI is on scene and investigating the situation."

Frontier says the plane went to a "remote pad" for screening and passengers were taken to the fire station at the airport.
