DENVER — A bicyclist was killed Friday afternoon after being struck by a truck in a hit-and-run crash, the Denver Police Department said.

The crash happened about 2:30 p.m. at 29th Avenue and Brighton Boulevard.

Police said they located driver who was driving a trash truck from a private company. The crash was under investigation but police said it was possible the driver did not know the bicyclist was hit.
