DENVER — One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Denver International Airport Wednesday night.

At 10:10 p.m., the Denver Police Department said via Twitter that the crash occurred in the 11100 block of Queensburg Street. The crash site is in a rural area immediately northeast of the airport and just inside Denver city limits.

On Thursday morning, DPD provided an update on the crash. It said a truck was going southbound on Queensburg when it lost control on the slick road and collided with a DIA snow plow traveling northbound.

Police said the plow driver tried to avoid the crash, but was unable to do so.

The driver of the truck was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified by United Airlines as Jim Raff, an aircraft inspector.

The driver of the plow was not injured.

Charges are not expected to be filed in the case.
