FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Police are investigating a single vehicle crash along Highway 14 that killed a man and injured another Tuesday morning.
Just after 6 a.m., firefighters discovered a vehicle in the Poudre River and a man already out of the water, said Trooper Nate Reid of the Colorado State Patrol.
The man was airlifted to a local hospital in unknown condition. The other man’s body was recovered from the water.
The name of the victim was not released.
Authorities believe speed and alcohol may be contributing factors.
