JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. — The Colorado State Patrol said a man died after his vehicle was found in Clear Creek Friday afternoon.

U.S. 6 west of Golden was closed Friday night while crews worked on recovery efforts.

The vehicle was first reported in the high, swiftly moving water in Clear Creek Canyon around 4 p.m.

Investigators didn’t release any other information about the crash.
