One dead after SUV drives into ravine in Eagle County

DENVER – One person died after an SUV drove into a ravine in Eagle County Saturday morning, according to police.

The Colorado State Patrol responded to the crash that happened in a remote area along Forest Service Road 700, or Red Sandstone Road, just before 7:30 a.m. Saturday, officials said.

The Colorado State Patrol said a coroner was called to the scene, and investigators are trying to figure out what caused the crash.

The victim’s identity has not been released.
