With national Down syndrome Awareness Month in October, local Denver resident Rebecca Wilson Macsovits, an mother of three (one with Down Syndrome), recently penned and self-published a new children’s book, Guion The Lion.

The story is based on her own personal life experiences and while the book incorporates all of her children, the lead character Guion, is based on her son (Guion) who happens to have Down syndrome.
