Nuggets’ Ty Lawson delivers big money to keep high school athletes playing

DENVER — There was a surprise at school Monday for some Colorado high school students. Denver Nuggets guard Ty Lawson showed up to hand out checks.

The money — $130,000 — goes to several different athletic teams and programs to make sure the students keep playing.
