NB I-25 reopens through downtown after 3-vehicle accident

DENVER — Northbound Interstate 25 was closed through downtown Denver late Friday morning because of a three-vehicle accident.

The accident happened at I-25 and 20th Street and the Colorado Department of Transportation closed all four lanes of northbound traffic. About 12:40 p.m., the two right lanes reopened as cleanup continued. As of about 1:10 p.m., all lanes are open on northbound I-25.

The Denver Police Department said there were injuries in the accident, but it’s not known how many or the extent of the injuries.
