
THORNTON, Colo. -- Northbound Interstate 25 was closed at Thornton Parkway on Friday afternoon after a man who was trying to run across the highway was hit and killed, the Thornton Police Department said.
It happened in the northbound HOV lane near 104th Avenue about 3:15 p.m., police said.
Drivers were advised to find other ways to go during the evening commute in the northern part of metro Denver.

The interstate reopened shortly after 6 p.m. when the investigation at the scene was finished.
