DENVER — The National Football League Referees Association donated $10,000 Sunday to the Estes Park School District to help repair athletic facilities devastated by last month’s severe flooding.

The group presented the school district with a check shortly before Sunday’s game between the Denver Broncos and Washington Redskins.

The Broncos were “very helpful” in making the presentation run smoothly, said Jim Quirk, executive director of the NFL officials union.

This is the second time this year the NFLRA has made a grant to a school district. In June, the NFLRA made a grant to the Moore Public Schools of Moore, Okla., toward rebuilding their football program after tornadoes swept the area.
