DENVER -- Some residents around Sloan's Lake in west Denver went to the City Council on Monday night in hopes of putting a stop to development plans at the old St. Anthony Hospital site.
The developer asked the city to change zoning in the area that would allow taller apartments next to the park at the lake.
The problem some residents have is they are concerned the changes will mar the views they have always enjoyed.
Some neighbors said the council is ignoring its own neighborhood plans, an they worry leaders will put developers' profits ahead of citizens' concerns.
