Winning ticket for Powerball’s $420.9 million jackpot sold in Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — One Powerball ticket matched all six numbers drawn Saturday night, making that slip of paper worth more than $420 million.

A ticket sold Lafayette, Tenn. won the $420.9 million grand prize, the Tennessee Lottery announced early Sunday.

Lafayette is 60 miles northeast of Nashville and has a population of about 5,000.

The winning numbers were 17-19-21-37-44; Powerball, 16; Power Play, 2.

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
