DENVER — After new developments in Ukraine, Ukrainian Americans stepped forward to show their support for those so far away.
Roxolana Wynar of Denver said, “It’s heartbreaking to see all these lives lost, but at the same time it’s beautiful because it shows their courage and it shows their love and passion for their country.”
Wynar and her mother, Tatiana Gajecky, have friends who are among the protesters in Ukraine
Together, they’ve prayed for peace and resolution at the Transfiguration of Our Lord Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Denver.
Sunday’s service will have a different tone, as members think of those in Ukraine and gather for a service of gratitude, said Gajecky.
