PAYNESVILLE, Minn. -- The driver of a tractor trailer faces charges after he sped past a stopped school bus and nearly hit a child.

The incident was captured on the school bus dashcam, reported KARE-TV.

The bus was stopped on a rural highway near Planesville, Minn., to pick up 7th grader Alexis Schwartz.

Instead of stopping, the truck passed the bus in the right-hand lane.

Alexis said she saw the truck and backed off.

"As the semi went by there was nothing but dust and I thought she was dead," said bus driver Mike Egerman. "All the sudden her little face appeared."

Local police said they were contacted by the semi driver about the incident.
