SAN FRANCISCO — Rural California has a long history of cow-tipping. But in urban San Francisco, a group of men have allegedly gone to car-tipping.

At least four smart cars were tipped over late Sunday or early Monday. The tiny two-door cars were put on their back ends or completely tipped over.

The cars weight about 1,600 pounds. Brandon Michael told KGO-TV that he saw eight men in hooded sweatshirts walk up to one of the cars.

“I thought they looked like they were up to no good and then sure enough they walk up to this smart car right here, all huddle around it and just lift it up and set it on its hind legs — that’s pretty much it,” he told the station.

San Francisco Police are investigating.
