MUNCIE, Ind. — Police found a methamphetamine lab inside a Wal-Mart restroom in Muncie, Ind., on Thursday night.

Employees called police about 11:30 p.m. after discovering a suspicious backpack in the men’s restroom, WXIN reported. When troopers arrived, they found an active meth lab inside the backpack.

Investigators dismantled the lab and removed the chemicals from the store.

Police said the men’s and women’s restrooms would have to be thoroughly decontaminated before being reopened to customers.

Investigators are still working to identify the person who left the backpack inside the restroom.
