LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — A Democratic Party campaign bus illegally dumped raw sewage on Tuesday morning, according to a police report.

Authorities were called after reports the RV was dumping its sewage into a storm drain, WSBTV reported.

An employee at an O’Reilly Auto Parts store said he watched the bus affiliated with the Democratic National Committee stop in a turn lane in front of the store.

The employee told police that someone got out and opened the sewage drain. Raw sewage then spilled onto the roadway and into the storm drain.

“They pulled the bus up right here. They stopped right here at this storm drain,” Mike Robins said. “I was like, ‘What the heck? Are you kidding me?’ I couldn’t believe it.

There was a large amount of drying toilet paper and a foul smell where the RV parked, according to the police report.

“(There were here) about five minutes or so, something like that. It wasn’t very long,” witness David Frost said.

The RV featured pictures of presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and her running mate Tim Kaine.

The sewage was cleared by a hazardous materials crew.

“This was an unacceptable mistake and we apologize to the Lawrenceville community for any harm that was caused,” the DNC said in a statement. “We are taking corrective action with the charter bus company to prevent this from ever happening again and contacting local officials to determine the best course of action.”
