National Night Out: Police officers, residents came together Tuesday

DENVER — Do you know the police officers who work to keep your neighborhood and your family safe? Would you like to ask a question, or say thank you?

Police departments across Colorado and across the country are took part in National Night Out events on Tuesday where residents and police came together.

Officers were out talking to members of the community at block parties, churches and gatherings. The list of events grows every year. You can see how many places took part this year.

  • Olde Town Arvada, (near Ralston Road/Olde Wadsworth), 5–8 p.m.

Aurora (Officers will spend about 30 minutes at each event):

Castle Rock:

(This free event will feature games, face painting, vendor booths, child fingerprint identification kits, and military, police and fire participation.  Children can play lawn games, basketball, kickball and more with Police Officers.  At dusk there will be a showing of “Minions,” sponsored by the Parker Chamber. )
