Motorcyclist killed in Broadway crash

DENVER — A collision between a motorcycle and a car left one person dead early Sunday morning along Broadway in Denver, police said.

The crash happened about 2:15 a.m. near the Walgreens store at 1st Avenue and Broadway.

The motorcyclist was ejected into a garbage container and other objects along the roadway. The 27-year-old man suffered fatal injuries.

Two people in the car were not injured. The 35-year-old driver of the car, identified as April Wilson, faces charges of vehicular homicide, according to police.

Alcohol and excessive speed may be factors, police said.
