GRAND COUNTY, Colo. — A motorcycle crash killed one and seriously injured another Saturday afternoon, the Colorado State Patrol said.

It happened at about 3:41 p.m. on Highway 134 at mile marker 14.

A Honda Gold Wing motorcycle was attempting to follow a left curve in the roadway when it went off the right side of the roadway and rolled, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

The driver and passenger on the motorcycle were thrown from the motorcycle as the vehicle began to roll. The driver suffered fatal injuries and the passenger suffered serious bodily injuries, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

The driver and passenger were wearing helmets.

The CSP says alcohol, drugs and speeding did not appear to be contributing factors. The passenger was airlifted to the Vail Valley Medical Center.

The crash remains under investigation.
