DENVER — Susan Klebold, the mother of Columbine High School shooter Dylan Klebold, plans to write a memoir in which she will confront the “indescribable grief and shame” that she has lived with since the April 1999 massacre, The Associated Press reported Tuesday.
Crown Publishers told The AP that it had acquired the book. Klebold wanted to share her story after the murders at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut in December 2012 and other school.
There is no title or release date for the book, and all profits will be donated by Klebold to mental health research and charitable organizations.
Klebold and fellow student Eric Harris killed 13 at Columbine before killing themselves on April 20, 1999.
