DENVER – There’s more good news if you’re looking to buy or sell a home in the Denver metro area.

Denver’s housing market appears to be outpacing national home prices.

Industry analyst CoreLogic says home prices jumped 3.5-percent in the Denver-Boulder-Broomfield market in March. Conversely, prices dropped by nearly one-percent nationwide.

“It’s important for home buyers and home sellers to realize that this is probably the most affordable time to enter the market in decades,” says Jerra Ryan, president of the Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association, noting record low mortgage rates.

Fiserv Case-Shiller Indexes says home prices will continue to fall by as much as four-percent by the end of the year and, in all but a few markets, like Denver, that trend will continue for at least 12 more months.
