SEATTLE — No more endless waiting. Beginning in 2015, Starbucks will offer a delivery option on its mobile app in select areas.
“Imagine the ability to create a standing order of Starbucks delivered hot or iced to your desk daily. That’s our version of e-commerce on steroids,” Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz said in a conference call, according to Advertising Age.
No delivery options were provided, nor were the markets and the start date announced.
Starbucks has been pushing its mobile app that allows customers to order ahead of time and pick up without waiting. That option will be introduced in the Portland, Ore., area before the end of the year.
