GRAND COUNTY, Colo. — The body of a kayaker who was lost on the Colorado River Saturday afternoon was discovered Sunday.

Dispatchers received a call Saturday about a woman who had been separated from her kayak after it overturned near the upper end of Gore Canyon, Grand County Sheriff Rod Johnson said. She was reportedly trying to climb up a cliff-like bank.

On Sunday, the woman’s body was found. Details, including the woman’s identity, were not immediately released.
