Memorial service for Park County Cpl. Nate Carrigan to be held March 14

BAILEY, Colo. — The memorial service for Nate Carrigan, the Park County corporal who was fatally shot while serving an eviction notice on Wednesday, will be held at 11 a.m. March 14 at Faith Bible Chapel in Arvada.

Martin Wirth, 58, was killed in the shooting that left Master Patrol Deputy Kolby Martin with serious injuries; he was upgraded from serious to fair condition Friday. Capt. Mark Hancock, suffered minor injuries in the shooting.

The Park County community has displayed about 2,500 blue flags along U.S. 285 to honor Carrigan, his fellow deputies and law enforcement in general.
