Marine works to reduce suicide among military vets

Nothing Jason Sydoriak sees in a Colorado State classroom can faze him.

Serving tours in Iraq and Afghanistan as a Marine infantryman will prepare you for anything.

In addition to double majoring in Political Science and Economics, the 26-year-old is the local leadership fellow for the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America.

He is a part of an effort titled  “We’ve Got Your Back:  The Campaign to Combat Suicide.”

Recently, he testified on behalf of Senate Bill 2182, which hopes, in part, to improve mental health benefits for vets.
