Man robs Lakewood bank, passes note to teller demanding money

LAKEWOOD, Colo. – Police are looking for a man who robbed a King Soopers bank in Lakewood Sunday morning.

Officers responded to the U.S. Bank branch located inside the King Soopers store at 1927 S. Wadsworth Blvd. just after 11 a.m., after reports that a suspect passed a note to a bank teller demanding money.

The note claimed the suspect had a weapon; however officers said no weapon was seen.

The suspect left the store after taking an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as an Asian male in his 20s to 30s, wearing a light grey ski jacket and a baseball cap with the letters “USA” on the front. He is approximately 5-foot-four and weighs about 140 pounds.
