Man rescued after fall in Eldorado Canyon State Park

BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. — A 19-year-old man was injured in a fall Wednesday night in Eldorado Canyon State Park and had to be rescued, officials said.

The man fell about 80 to 120 feet after a miscommunication with his climbing partner, who was belaying him.

Responders included the Rocky Mountain Rescue Group as well as Rocky Mountain Fire, Louisville Fire and Flight for Life.

The man was taken by helicopter to a Lakewood hospital to be treated for injures, which are not believed to be life-threatening.
