A man pleaded guilty Thursday to tricking dozens of teenagers into stripping or performing sexual acts on a web cam that he recorded.
Richard Finkbiner of Indiana faces between 30 and 50 years in prison.
One of the 12 victims named in the case is a 15-year-old who lives in Fort Collins.
Finkbiner, 39, committed a crime nicknamed “sexstortion.”
Police in Indianapolis say he would seduce teenaged boys and girls across the country and get them to take their clothes off on webcams.
He then threatened to publish the videos if they didn’t do more sexually explicit things on camera.
It’s extortion of a sexual nature that has law enforcement investigators deeply troubled.
