ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. — A man who is accused of hoarding more than 100 dogs at his home near Watkins faces criminal charges Thursday.

Richard Pilcer has been charged with 13 counts of criminally negligent animal cruelty.

Authorities seized 118 dogs from inside his home on July 9.

The Denver Dumb Friends League and the Adams County Animal Shelter took the dogs in, examined them, and go them ready for adoption.
