DENVER — A man is in custody after a domestic dispute turned violent on 9th and Bryant in Denver Wednesday night.
At around 8:10 p.m. police responded to a disturbance call from neighbors.
When officers arrived on scene they entered the home and heard a child crying and yelling from a back bedroom.
At one point a woman in the bedroom told the officers a man inside the house had a knife.
According to police, the man was ‘irrational’ and was eventually arrested following a confrontation.
The woman and child were sent to the hospital as a precaution, but had no visible injuries.
Some of the officers sustained minor injuries during the confrontation with the suspect.
The incident remains under investigation.
