DENVER – If you are heading westbound on Interstate 70 near Havana Street this weekend, be prepared to expect some major delays.
The Colorado Department of Transportation said that until 5:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 1, the right three lanes of westbound I-70 near Havana Street will be closed. Two through lanes and the ramps will remain open.
Crews will be working to replace deteriorated concrete on the bridge deck with new asphalt, according to CDOT project engineer Mike Bean.
CDOT advises drivers to plan on taking alternate routes this weekend, especially if you’re headed home from the airport this weekend.
The work on I-70 over Havana is part of a larger project that rehabilitates four other bridge decks in the Denver Metro area.
