Why Denver Public Schools didn’t close school Tuesday during snowstorm

DENVER– Snow started falling early Tuesday morning across the Front Range. Despite the snow, most major school districts around Denver decided to stay in session.

We issued a Pinpoint Weather Alert Day. Snow showers will continue through Tuesday and Wednesday morning.

We spoke with Mark Ferrandino, the Deputy Superintendent of Operations to talk about why DPS did not cancel. Here’s what he had to say:
