JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. -- Westbound Interstate 70 was closed at the Morrison exit because of a multivehicle crash as the evening commute began on Thursday, the Colorado State Patrol said.
A heavy band of snowfall moved into the western part of the Denver metro are late Thursday afternoon, causing poor visibility for drivers.

The Colorado State Patrol said about 30 vehicles were involved in crashes on I-70 and C-470. There were no serious injuries reported.
The Colorado Department of Transportation said extensive delays and slower speeds should be expected.
The interstate reopened about 7:15 p.m.
