COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A 2-year-old boy who was reported missing died at a hospital, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said Sunday.

Nain Dominguez was found Sunday morning in what the sheriff’s office described as a life-threatening condition.

The sheriff’s office did not provide any details about the child’s conditions or how he died.

An Amber Alert that he might have been abducted was canceled about two hours after it was issued.

A relative reported Nain missing Saturday night at a trailhead southeast of Colorado Springs.

The initial report said a man was seen carrying the child to a van, but later said the man and the van were not related to the disappearance.
