One person seriously injured in suspected road-rage shooting in Thornton

THORNTON, Colo. — Thornton police responded to a shooting near East 100th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard Friday evening.

The Thornton Police Department tweeted about the shooting at 6:45 p.m. It says it occurred in the 10200 block of Colorado.

Police say one woman was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

TPD says the shooting is believed to be road-rage related.

Police were searching for a stolen silver Jeep Cherokee. The SUV was later located abandoned in Douglas County.

Northbound Colorado was closed between 100th and 104th avenues during the investigation.
