Teen who escaped from juvenile detention center in Englewood back in custody

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — A 16-year-old boy who escaped from the Marvin W. Foote Youth Services Center in Englewood on Sunday night is back in custody, the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office said.

Michael Wade, 16, jumped a fence and ran from staff about 5 p.m. Sunday from the center at 13500 E. Fremont Ave.

He was last seen running northwest from the facility, the sheriff’s office said.

Early Monday morning, the sheriff’s office said Wade was back in custody. It did not say where he was found.
