LONGMONT, Colo. — A convicted sex offender was killed in an officer-involved shooting early Monday morning, the Longmont Police Department said.
The shooting happened about 4:30 a.m. at the Glen Ridge Apartment Complex in the 2200 block of Pratt Street, north of downtown.
Police told FOX31’s Rob Low that Jesus Ramos, 34, a convicted sex offender, died in the incident and that an officer fired a shot. It’s not known if the shot hit the suspect, police said.

Police said that the suspect had broken into a neighbor’s apartment during at the time of the shooting, police said.
The Boulder County Critical Incident Team will investigate the shooting.
