
BAILEY, Colo. -- Thunderstorms that moved through the Front Range on Monday caused a mudslide along Highway 285 outside of Bailey, the Colorado Department of Transportation said.
The highway was closed at Stage Coach Road while CDOT and the Colorado State Patrol assessed the damage. The highway reopened just after 4 p.m.

The rain caused quite the mess outside of Bailey as storm drains become clogged because of the rain and mud. Some residents took upon themselves to try to clear up the drains.

Severe weather is possible across the Front Range on Monday afternoon with lightning, heavy rain and small hail being the biggest threat.
