2 window washers rescued after mechanical lift crashes into Cherry Creek parking garage

DENVER — A hole in the top of the parking garage caused part of the structure in Cherry Creek in Denver to collapse Saturday afternoon.

The collapse occurred at 155 N. Cook St., according to a tweet from the Denver Police Department.

According to the Denver Fire Department, a lift with two workers fell through the garage but were later rescued.

Numerous street closures were put in place in the area.

On Sunday, the Denver Fire Department said the investigation had been turned over to the Office of Emergency Management, which then turned it over to the building owners.

According to records, the owner is 155 N Cook Street Owners, LLC, with Douglas McKinnon as the registered agent.
