2 dead, one wounded in Denver shooting

DENVER — A report of a shooting turned into a homicide investigation in Denver on Saturday night as police reported two people were killed and another was injured.

The shooting happened in the 13100 block of East Elgin Place. Police said a male was taken to a hospital in critical condition, then an hour later said the shooting was being investigated as a double homicide.

On Sunday afternoon, police said two other victims were taken to a separate hospital with walk-in injuries.

Police contacted 18-year-old Octavio Morales at the hospital and determined he was a suspect in the case.

Police said everyone involved in the shooting are males.
