Shelter-in-place order lifted in Pine following domestic disturbance, barricaded suspect

PINE, Colo. – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has lifted a shelter-in-place order following a domestic disturbance in Pine.

According to the sheriff’s office, the area around the 33000 block of Harmon Road in Pine was under a shelter-in-place due to shots fired during a domestic disturbance late Saturday morning.

A suspect was barricaded inside a home. They suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound, the sheriff’s office said.

The suspect was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not life threatening.

No one else was injured.

Authorities did not provide further details on what led up to the incident.

The suspect’s name was not released.
