FORT COLLINS, Colo. (KDVR) – The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office has lifted a shelter-in-place order after a man was taken into custody.

LCSO deputies went to serve felony arrest warrants on 39-year-old Zachary Widener when he resisted. The standoff lasted a few hours before he was apprehended around 3:30 p.m.

He was taken to the hospital to be checked out and then booked into the Larimer County jail.

The department tweeted that police activity in the area of Iowa Street in the Timber Ridge North community prompted the shelter-in-place order, urging people in the area to stay inside and keep windows and doors locked just after 11:30 a.m.
