Police investigating shooting in northeast Denver

DENVER — Police responded to a shooting in northeast Denver on Sunday night.

The shooting happened in the 3600 block of Niagara Street, near Monaco Parkway and 36th Avenue, the Denver Police Department said.

One person was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, police said.

Police did not have a description for a suspect in the shooting, which is being investigated. A spokesman said there might have been an argument that led to the shooting.
